We have been friends for a long time now. We were next door neighbors for five years, and now we live a quick walk away from each other. We’ve raised our kids together, laughed together and cried together. Most importantly we have held each other up in prayer so many times in our lives together.
We both like to exercise our creative side, love to decorate, cook and craft. Above all we both have a strong faith in Christ. We talked many times about wanting to start a blog and thought it would be much more fun to do it together. Something to keep us connected and enjoy together.
We Started January 2015 we kept it light and fun. We played around many times with different directions we wanted to take with our blog and nothing really pulled us in any direction.
Until May 22, 2015 Angela’s 10-year-old son was in a horrific accident and was burned over 65% of his body. It changed all our lives forever. It changed our focus on life and the focus of our blog it changed our overall vision. We both feel a strong calling to share our story/journey with you and how our faith helps us get through our everyday, simple lives.
How we Came up with our Name:
FINALLY, the day we had been waiting for had arrived!!! We sat in front of the window, patiently waiting. There we sat, my kids and I. With anticipation building for a few hours, we all bolted for the door at the first sign of them. We couldn’t wait to see who our new friends were, we couldn’t wait to meet our new neighbors. Quickly the chatter began and Angie and I realized we had more in common than having kids the same ages. Angie grew up in the same house that my great grandfather had built. The house my grandfather was born in. We had just met , yet we already had history together. But the best was yet to come. I couldn’t have found a better friend to raise my kids next door to, to share my life with and to grow up with in my adult life. God blessed me and my family that day that moving truck pulled in. I couldn’t have created a better story if I tried.

So there you have it ~ that’s how we came up with…
It Started with a House
